Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste and mix well to cover evenly.
Add white flour to the chicken breasts and mix until they are all covered.
Melt butter in a pan.
Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the melted butter and cook through.
Add onions to the pan and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until soft.
Optionally, add more butter if needed.
Add bay leaf and white wine to the pan and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
Add heavy cream to the pan and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat until it starts boiling.
Once boiling, add the chicken breasts back to the pan and cook until the sauce thickens.
