In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon ghee and 4-5 tablespoons vanilla essence.
Blend the mixture in a mixer to create a bread crumb texture.
Caramelize sugar in a cake tin over low to medium heat, adding 2 tablespoons of water until the color changes.
Once caramelized, let it cool in the tin.
In a pot, add 1 glass of previously boiled and cooled milk and heat it without boiling.
In a separate bowl, mix remaining milk with custard powder until smooth.
Gradually add the custard mixture to the warm milk while stirring continuously.
Add milk powder to the mixture and stir until it thickens.
Turn off the heat and add the bread crumbs to the thickened mixture, stirring well.
Add ghee and vanilla essence to the mixture.
Pour the mixture into the caramelized tin.
Place a stand in an idli maker, add 1 glass of water, and place the tin on the stand.
Steam for 30-35 minutes on medium heat until set.
Once done, demold the pudding carefully.
