Hibiscus Iced Tea

3 cups hibiscus flowers
2.5 liters boiling water
5-6 tablespoons tamarind
1.5 cups granulated sugar
1 orange
6 cloves
2 star anise
1/2 teaspoon peppercorns
1 liter water

Boil water in a pot over high heat.

Add dried hibiscus flowers to the boiling water.

Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Strain the mixture into a pitcher to remove the flowers.

Stir in sugar while the tea is still warm until dissolved.

Add lemon juice to the pitcher and mix well.
