Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in turmeric, cumin, and cinnamon; cook for 1 minute.
Add soaked lentils and vegetable broth; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until lentils are tender, about 20-25 minutes.
Stir in tomato paste and cook for another 5 minutes.
Blend the mixture until smooth using an immersion blender or regular blender.
Return to heat and adjust consistency with water if too thick.
Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to taste.
Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
