Prepare a cake tin (20 cm or 8 inches) with baking paper.

Add 250 grams of butter to the mixer.
Add 250 grams of sugar to the mixer.
Mix the marzipan, butter, and sugar until well combined and fluffy.
Add 4 large eggs to the mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Add 125 grams of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder to the mixer.
Mix until just combined, ensuring there are no large lumps.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin.
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
