4 servings
Servings4
500g ground chicken
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup water (for dough)
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped cabbage
1/4 cup chopped carrots
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, minced
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp chili powder (optional)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.

2

In another bowl, mix the ground chicken, chopped onions, cabbage, carrots, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and chili powder until well combined.

3

Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle on a floured surface.

4

Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each circle.

5

Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal, forming a momo shape.

6

Prepare a steamer by boiling water in a pot. Place the momos in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

7

Steam the momos for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the dough is translucent.

8

Remove the momos from the steamer and let them cool slightly before serving.

9

Serve hot with dipping sauce or chutney.
