1 cup sugar
1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
1 cup water
1/2 T Earl Gray Tea
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup milk

Combine all ingredients for vanilla syrup in a small sauce pan.

Stir until sugar dissolves and bring liquid to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer until syrup thickens, about 20 minutes.

Let stand until cool.

Fill tea ball with Earl Gray tea and add to a kettle, letting it steep for 3-5 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat milk in a small sauce pan until not boiling (135-150 Degrees F).

Remove milk from heat and whisk until foamy.

Fill mug halfway with steeped tea.

Stir in two tablespoons of the vanilla syrup.

Fill the glass the rest of the way up with hot milk, holding back the foam.

Top with a few spoonfuls of foam to finish.
