Prepare croissant dough according to recipe or package instructions.
Roll out the croissant dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
Cut the dough into triangles for croissants.
Mix almond paste, butter, powdered sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract in a bowl until smooth.
Spread a thin layer of the almond filling on the base of each triangle.
Roll the triangles from the base to the tip to form croissants.
Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cover the croissants with a clean towel and let them rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brush the risen croissants with milk for a golden finish.
Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of each croissant.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
