Prep all ingredients for the soup and dumplings.
In a bowl, add 1 to 2 cups flour, a bit of salt, and sugar.
Knead the flour mixture using coconut milk until a dough ball forms; set aside.
In a large pot, add butter and allow it to melt.
Sauté finely chopped garlic, onion, scallions, thyme, trin shadow benny, and pimento peppers for about 1 minute.
Add diced pumpkin and carrots; sauté for another minute to soak up flavors.
Add precooked split peas (or uncooked) and water from the split peas; cover and cook for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, add sweet potatoes, edeos, regular potatoes, cassava, and sweet corn to the pot.
Add cream corn for body and texture.
Shape dumplings and add them to the pot.
Add rich creamy coconut milk, more shadow benny, more pimento peppers, fresh thyme, and a whole habanero hot pepper; season to taste.
Cover and cook for another 15 minutes; the total cooking time is about 30 minutes.
