Peel and chop the root vegetables (potatoes, turnip, and carrots).
Blanch the root vegetables in boiling water for about 20 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a sauté pan.
Brown the chicken (drumsticks, breast, and wings) in the hot oil, then remove the chicken.
Sauté chopped onions in the same pan until fragrant.
Add chopped celery, bell pepper, and garlic to the onions and sauté.
Add habanero, tomatoes, tomato paste, and peanut butter to the pan.
Stir well to combine the ingredients and dissolve the peanut butter and tomato paste.
Season with salt and pepper, then add the browned chicken back to the pan.
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Chop the blanched root vegetables and add them to the stew along with chopped cabbage.
Season with additional salt and pepper as needed.
Simmer for about 30 minutes until everything is cooked through.
