Mix 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon ginger powder, and 1/4 glass of water to create a marinade.

Add chicken pieces into the marinade and coat well.

In a tagine or pan, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil over low heat.

Add 3 large finely sliced onions to the pan, season with 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon ginger powder, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder, and mix well.

Cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Add 1 tablespoon chopped coriander and parsley to the onions and mix.

Add 1/2 glass of water to the onions and mix everything well.

Add the marinated chicken pieces into the tagine with the marinade.

Layer the onions on top of the chicken in the tagine.

Add 1 hand full of raisins on top of the onions and place quartered potatoes around the tagine.

Cover the tagine and cook for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, pour the sauce over the potatoes, onions, and raisins, cover, and cook for another 10 minutes.
