Beat room-temperature cream cheese until smooth.

Add in slightly room-temperature Cool Whip and beat until combined.

Taste the mixture and add sugar if desired for sweetness.

Open the can of cherry pie filling.

In a bowl, layer the cream cheese and Cool Whip mixture, then gently place cherries on top without disturbing the cream.

For presentation, decorate with graham crackers, but note they will become soft if prepared too early.

Serve with graham crackers on the side to avoid sogginess.
