Cut 500 grams of chicken into pieces.

Add 1.5 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste, 0.5 teaspoon black pepper powder, salt to taste, 2 teaspoons red chili powder, 2 teaspoons Kashmiri red chili powder, 1.5 teaspoons coriander powder, 0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder, a little vinegar, and 1 bowl of whipped yogurt to the chicken.

Mix all the ingredients well by hand.

Marinate the chicken for at least 1-2 hours for better flavor.

In a pan, toast 2 green cardamom, 0.5 teaspoon fennel seeds, 2 pieces of cinnamon, and 3-4 cloves for a few seconds.

Add a little oil and 4-5 garlic cloves to the pan.

Add 4 medium-sized roughly chopped onions to the pan and sauté until soft, without browning them too much.

Once the onions are soft and color has changed, add 1 large chopped tomato and sauté until the tomato is soft.

After the tomato cools, blend the mixture into a gravy, removing the toasted spices.

In the same pan, add cumin seeds and the prepared gravy and cook for about 1 minute.

Add the marinated chicken to the pan and mix well with a spoon.

Cover and cook the chicken for 15-20 minutes without adding water, allowing it to cook in the yogurt's moisture.

After 15-20 minutes, check the consistency and add 1 cup of water if you prefer more gravy.

Cook for an additional 5 minutes after adding water to finish the dish.
