Pork chops can be a more affordable alternative while still providing a satisfying meal.

Canola oil is often less expensive and has a neutral flavor.

Remove steaks from the fridge and place them on a plate. Allow them to sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes.

Blot the steaks with a paper towel, then season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. While it’s preheating, brush steaks with the olive oil all over.

Place steaks into the air fryer basket. For medium-rare, cook at 400°F for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. For medium, cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through. See full blog post for additional cook times if you prefer your steak cooked a different way.

Transfer the steak to a cutting board and allow them to rest for 5 minutes. Serve with garlic butter and enjoy!
