Start by making the batter in a large mixing bowl.
Add 2 cups of bisquick baking mix, 1 1/4 cups of half-and-half, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 2 pinches of salt.
Whisk the ingredients together until the batter is smooth and free of lumps, then set aside.
For each sandwich, use 3 slices of honey wheat bread.
Lay down about 3 slices of high-quality deli ham.
Add 1 slice of Kraft Deli Deluxe American cheese on top of the ham.
Place another slice of bread on top to make a triple decker sandwich.
Add 2-3 thick slices of turkey and 1 slice of Boar's Head Swiss cheese on top of the second slice of bread.
Top with the final slice of bread.
Insert 4 toothpicks into the corners of the sandwich to hold it together while frying.
Cut the sandwich in half diagonally.
In a pan, heat about 1.5 inches of canola oil to 365 degrees Fahrenheit.
To check if the oil is hot enough, flick some tap water into the oil and observe the reaction.
Dip each half of the sandwich into the batter, ensuring all sides and edges are coated.
Carefully place each half into the hot oil using tongs, frying one half at a time.
Fry until golden brown, resembling the color of French toast, flipping to cook evenly on both sides.
Ensure the edges are also fried by holding the sandwich with tongs and dipping it around in the oil.
Once fried, place the sandwich halves on a paper plate to drain excess oil.
Remove the toothpicks from the sandwich halves.
Transfer the sandwich halves to a small baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place the sandwich in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 5 minutes to heat through and melt the cheese.
While the sandwich is in the oven, prepare raspberry preserves for dipping.
