The Clarified Negroni offers a modern twist, utilizing a clarification process that results in a crystal-clear drink while maintaining the original's rich flavors. This variation is popular among cocktail enthusiasts and showcases the artistry of mixology.

Campari

Aperol is lower in alcohol and calories.
Pour 4 ounces of Aperol into a mixing glass.
Add 4 ounces of Cocchi Torino to the mixing glass.
Pour in 3 ounces of vodka.
Add 1 ounce of orange bitters, preferably Reagan's.
Include 0.5 ounces of wormwood tincture (or wormwood bitters if preferred).
Add 0.5 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger.
Pour in 3 ounces of fresh grapefruit juice into the mixing glass.
In another mixing glass, pour 3 ounces of whole milk.
Pour the mixture from the first mixing glass over the milk to start the curdling process.
Gently stir with a bar spoon to incorporate the mixture with the milk.
Filter the mixture through a coffee filter to begin the filtration process.
Wait until the mixture is perfectly clear and filtered.
Pour 1 ounce of Empress 1908 gin into a mixing glass.
Add 2 ounces of the clarified bitter liqueur to the mixing glass.
Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir for about 60 revolutions.
Pour the cocktail over a block of ice.
Cut a grapefruit wedge for garnish.
Using a torch, burn the grapefruit wedge until it releases natural oils.
Place the charred grapefruit wedge over the block of ice.
