Frozen Margarita

Traditionally made with tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur, it has become a staple in Mexican cuisine and is popular worldwide. The frozen version adds a slushy texture that enhances its appeal, making it a favorite at parties and summer gatherings.

Juice a lime by rolling it on a chopping board to release juices.
Cut the lime in half and squeeze it by hand or use a citrus juicer.
Pour some lime juice into a bowl wide enough to fit the rim of your glass.
In another bowl, add freshly ground sea salt.
Take the margarita glass and place it into the lime juice, twisting it around to cover the rim.
Lift the glass to drain excess lime juice.
Without turning the glass over, place it into the bowl with salt and twist to coat the rim evenly.
Set the glass aside while making the cocktail.
In a blender, add a handful of ice, noting that less is more for consistency.
Add two parts tequila to the blender.
Add one part triple sec to the blender.
Add three parts lime juice to the blender.
Place the lid on the blender and blend until the ice is fully crushed and the mixture is smooth.
Check the consistency; if not frozen enough, add more ice and blend again.
Slice a lime down the middle for garnish and twist it.
Fill the glass with the frozen margarita and garnish with the lime twist.
If not serving immediately, place the margarita in the freezer and blend again when ready to serve.
