Introduce the recipe and ingredients for conch soup.
Prepare the conch by cutting it into small pieces.
If using a pressure cooker, pressure cook the conch for 30 minutes in 6 cups of water, or boil for 2-3 hours if no pressure cooker is available.
Smash the garlic cloves to release flavor.
Add thyme and salt to the conch while cooking.
Prepare the vegetables: peel and cube the Irish potato, cut the okra into quarter-inch slices, and chop the carrot into small pieces.
After 30 minutes of cooking, add the Irish potato and okra to the pot.
Add the carrot towards the end of the cooking process.
Add vinegar to the pot for flavor.
Stir the soup occasionally to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pot.
After 50 minutes of cooking, check the soup for thickness and adjust the heat as necessary.
Allow the soup to cool before serving.
