1

Add 4 cups of white all-purpose flour to a kneading bowl.

2

Add 3/4 cup of brown sugar to the flour. Optionally, add an extra 1/4 cup of sugar for sweetness.

3

Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of nutmeg, 3 teaspoons of cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of salt to the bowl.

4

Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of RapidRise yeast (or active dry yeast) to the mixture and mix well.

5

Add 1 stick of softened margarine to the mixture.

6

In a separate container, measure out 1 1/4 cups of coconut milk and microwave it for about 30 seconds to loosen it up, then add it to the mixture along with 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.

7

Mix the ingredients until they stick together, kneading the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.

8

If using raisins, add them during the kneading process, up to 1 cup. If not using raisins, consider increasing the sugar to 1 cup.

9

Shape the dough into a ball, cover it with a tortilla cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1.5 to 2 hours or until doubled in size.

10

After the dough has risen, grease a baking pan with margarine.

11

Roll the dough out and shape it into a log, then divide it into eight equal pieces.

12

Roll each piece into a ball and place them on the greased baking pan, spacing them out to allow for rising.

13

Cover the buns with a tortilla cloth and let them rest for about 2 hours or until doubled in size.

14

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

15

Bake the buns for 20 minutes.

16

Brush melted margarine on top of the baked buns.

17

Transfer the buns to a wire rack to cool.
