Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
Prepare the filling by sautéing onions until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add chopped cabbage and cook until softened, about 10 minutes.
Incorporate cooked potatoes or meat, and season with herbs and spices.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into circles.
Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
Fold the dough over the filling and pinch to seal.
Arrange the pyrizhky on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden, about 20-25 minutes.
Alternatively, fry in hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
