Peel and slice the regular carrots, then wash them.

Par boil the carrots for 5 minutes.

Drain the carrots and remove all the water.

In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 3 tablespoons of melted butter, a little bit of salt, and pepper.

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Spray an 8x8 pan with cooking spray and add the drained carrots.

Pour the sugar and butter mixture over the carrots in the pan.

If desired, add 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon to the pan.
