In a large saucepan, add the carrots and 1/2 cup of water.

Uncover and cook for another 3-4 minutes until nearly all the liquid evaporates.

Add 5 tablespoons of salted butter, 1/4 cup of honey, and 1/4 cup of firm packed brown sugar to the pan.

Stir and cook over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes, carefully turning the carrots in the glaze mixture.

Cook until the glaze thickens and coats the carrots, and they are fork tender.
