Dark chocolate chips offer a richer flavor.

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a bowl, combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 egg, and 1 cup of peanut butter.

Mix the ingredients together until well combined; the dough will be sticky.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a cookie sheet.

Optionally, roll the balls in granulated sugar before baking, but it's not necessary.

Place the cookie sheet in the oven and bake for about 9 minutes, checking for doneness between 8 to 10 minutes.

Once baked, remove from the oven and immediately press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie.

Allow the cookies to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
