Cut off the heads and a small part of the bottom of 3 large eggplants, then cut them into big chunks.

Slice 2 medium tomatoes into big chunks.

Blend 4 peeled tomatoes with 1/2 tablespoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon smashed garlic, 1 tablespoon tomato paste, and 1 tablespoon honey until smooth.

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and fry the eggplant chunks until slightly golden brown, about 2 minutes on each side.

Remove the fried eggplant from the pan and set aside.

In a pot, bring hot water to a boil and add 5 tablespoons of yellow lentils; boil for 5 to 10 minutes until cooked.

In an oven dish, spread the blended tomato mixture evenly on the bottom.

Layer the fried eggplant on top of the tomato mixture.

Season minced meat with salt and pepper, roll into balls, and place them on top of the eggplant.
