1 head onion
0.5 tea glass vegetable oil
2 eggplants
1 bell pepper
2-3 cloves garlic
4-5 tomatoes (or 500g canned tomatoes)
1 cup lentils
3 cups water (for lentils)
1 liter water (for soup)
1 cup kesme pasta (or noodle)
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses (or sumac)
previously frozen meat broth

Chop 1 head of onion and add it to a pot with 0.5 tea glass of vegetable oil to sauté.

Once the onion is sautéed, add 2 chopped eggplants and 1 chopped bell pepper to the pot and sauté them together.

After the eggplants and bell pepper have sautéed, add 2-3 cloves of minced garlic to the pot and sauté for a bit longer.

Add 4-5 grated tomatoes or the entire contents of a 500g can of tomatoes to the pot and stir.

In a separate pot, boil 1 cup of lentils in 3 cups of water, then add the lentils (with their water) to the main pot.

Add 1 liter of water to the main pot and bring it to a boil.

Once boiling, add 1 cup of kesme pasta to the pot. If you have noodles, you can add those instead.

Add about 1 teaspoon of salt to the pot.

If you have sumac, add 2 tablespoons of sumac juice; if not, add 2 tablespoons of pomegranate molasses for flavor.

Finally, add previously frozen meat broth to the pot and let it cook until the pasta is done.
