1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)

In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Add 2 tablespoons of loose black tea leaves to the boiling water.

Reduce the heat and let the tea simmer for about 10-15 minutes to extract the flavor.

In a separate pot, heat 1/2 cup of milk until it is warm but not boiling.

Add sugar to the tea mixture and stir until dissolved.
