Mix sugar and butter until creamy.

Add 8 beaten eggs and mix.

Add evaporated milk and 7Up, then mix.

Add lemon essence, pineapple essence, rosewater, and rum, then mix.

Add flour and baking powder, along with a dash of salt, and mix.

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Bake 9-inch cakes for approximately 45 minutes or bake cake in a tube pan for 1 hour 15 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.

Let cool and decorate.

Boil condensed milk for 3 hours 30 minutes to get best tasting caramel.
