Add the ginger paste to the syrup and bring to a boil.

Add 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder and 1/4 teaspoon turmeric to the mixture.

Cook until the mixture thickens and forms bubbles.

Check the consistency by dropping a bit into water; if it dissolves, it needs more cooking.

Add lemon juice to the mixture before finishing.

Pour the mixture onto butter paper in a tray to set into candy shapes.

Let it cool and harden for about 5 minutes.
