Schnitzel with Creamy Mushroom Sauce
Cultural Context
Schnitzel, originating from Austria, has become a beloved dish in Germany, often served in homes and restaurants alike. Traditionally made with veal, pork is now a popular alternative. The creamy mushroom sauce adds a rich, savory element, making it a comforting meal. Today, schnitzel is enjoyed worldwide, with various adaptations reflecting local tastes.
Zuerst werden die Champignons geputzt, geviertelt und anschließend in dem Öl angebraten.
Die Zwiebel wird in feine Würfel geschnitten und zu den Champignons gegeben.
In der Zwischenzeit können die Nudeln schon mal gekocht werden.
Als nächstes wird alles mit der Gemüsebrühe abgelöscht.
Dann wird der Senf eingerührt und man gibt Pfeffer und Salz nach Geschmack hinzu.
Nun gibt man die tiefgekühlten Erbsen dazu und lässt alles für etwa 5 Minuten auf geringer Hitze köcheln.
Danach rührt man die Cremé fraiché hinein und gibt die gehackte Petersilie dazu.
Zum Schluss werden die gekochten Nudeln einfach mit in die Soße gegeben. Kurz umrühren und fertig ist das leckere Gericht!
