1 pound beef cut into chunks
4 cloves garlic smashed
1/2 inch ginger thinly sliced
2 green onions cut into 2 inch lengths
2 tablespoons chili bean paste
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
salt to taste
1 large tomato cut into wedges
3 tablespoons rice wine
5 star anise
noodle of choice

Cover the beef with cold water and bring to a boil; drain impurities and murky water.

Set the beef aside.

Heat a wok or cooking pan to medium high heat.

Add ginger, garlic, and scallions; stir fry together.

Add the chunks of blanched beef into the wok or pan and stir fry for about 5 minutes.
