Add the sliced plantains to the skillet in a single layer.

Cook the plantains for about 5 minutes on the first side before flipping them over.

Sprinkle brown sugar over the plantains after flipping them.

Stir the plantains and brown sugar together, flipping them sugar side down.

If a thicker sauce is desired, add more brown sugar and a little water.
