Instructions

  1. 1Combine pre-cooked cornmeal and salt in a bowl.
  2. 2Gradually add water to the cornmeal mixture, mixing with hands until a dough forms.

Instructions

  1. 1In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina and salt.
  2. 2Gradually add warm water to the masa harina, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. 3Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth and pliable.
  4. 4Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
  5. 5Flatten each ball into a disc about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. 6If using, place cheese or meat in the center of the disc and fold the edges over to seal, then flatten again gently.
