Combine 2 teaspoons garlic powder, salt, and 2 teaspoons black pepper in a bowl.
Rub the seasoning mixture all over the pork chops.
Blend fresh garlic and sweet pepper (optional) and rub it into the pork chops for extra flavor.
Heat oil in a frying pan until hot; do not add pork chops to a cold pan.
Sear the pork chops for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown; hold the edges in the pan to brown them as well.
Remove the pork chops from the pan and set aside.
Pour out excess oil from the pan and add 1 tablespoon of butter; let it melt.
Add 6 cloves of minced garlic to the melted butter and cook until it turns brown.
Add 1/2 cup of honey to the pan.
Pour in 1/2 cup of chicken stock (or broth) for flavor; water can be used as a substitute.
Add 2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar (or any white vinegar) to the mixture.
Allow the sauce to boil and thicken; it will be runny at first but should become sticky.
Once thickened, add the pork chops back into the pan and coat them with the sauce.
Turn on the broiler and place the pork chops under it until the edges are crispy and browned; alternatively, leave them on the stovetop for about 10 minutes to finish cooking.
Serve the pork chops and admire their appearance.
