Cut 200 grams of butter into pieces and ensure it is soft.
Add 8 grams of brown sugar to the butter.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence to the mixture.
Beat the butter and sugar together until well mixed and soft.
Add 250 grams of flour to the butter mixture and mix well.
Press the mixture into a 27 cm by 22 cm baking tray lined with baking sheet.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Bake for 15 minutes until it turns light brown.
Let the baked base cool down.
In a pan, add 100 grams of butter and 100 grams of sugar.
Add 385 grams of milkmaid to the pan and mix well over medium heat.
Cook until the sugar melts and the mixture thickens, stirring continuously for about 10 minutes.
Once the caramel mixture is ready, pour it over the cooled base.
Melt 100 grams of baking chocolate with 1 teaspoon of oil in a double boiler or microwave.
Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and spread evenly.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
Cut the bars into pieces, pressing lightly to cut through the caramel layer.
