1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
16 oz heavy whipping cream
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 to 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese for topping

parsley flakes for garnish

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Add 1/2 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

Add 12 to 16 oz of spaghetti to the pot and stir for about 30 seconds to prevent sticking.

Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente, then drain and leave in the pot.

In a large skillet, brown 1 pound of Italian ground sausage, breaking it up with a meat chopper.

Add 1 diced bell pepper and 1/2 diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened.
