Cook fusilli pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.

Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of the cooking water.

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat until foamy.

Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.

Add grated parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.

Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.

Add the cooked fusilli to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.

If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.

Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
