Ingredients

  • 12 oz fusilli pasta

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1Cook the fusilli pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. 3Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. 4Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. 5Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine with the mushrooms and garlic.
  6. 6Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  7. 7Add the cooked fusilli pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy mushroom sauce.
  8. 8Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through, stirring occasionally.
  9. 9Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley before serving.

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

  8. 8Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through, allowing the pasta to absorb some of the sauce.
