Clean the sardines carefully, removing guts and ensuring they are clean inside.
Soak 1 and 1/2 cups of doll in water for 15 minutes.
Boil the soaked doll in 750 ml of water until it starts to burst.
Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder to the boiling doll for color.
Add 1 tbsp margarine, 1 tbsp crushed garlic, 6 green chilies (split), spring onions, and 1 small tomato to the boiling doll.
Add 1/2 tbsp fine salt to the doll while it cooks.
In a separate pan, heat 1/2 cup oil and add 1 tsp mustard seeds and 3 dried chilies.
Fry 1 medium red onion in the oil until browned, then add to the cooked doll.
Prepare the sardines by marinating them with 2 tbsp turmeric powder and 1/2 glass of lemon juice, then refrigerate for 1 hour to firm them up.
Mix 1 tbsp black pepper, 1 tbsp grated ginger, and 1 tbsp mixed masala into the marinated sardines.
Fry the sardines in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
Prepare 3 cups of rice by soaking it in 1 liter of hot water for 1 and 1/2 hours before cooking.
Boil the soaked rice in 1 and 1/2 liters of water, adding salt to taste.
Check the rice periodically by feeling it with a spoon until it is soft enough to strain.
