Mix sourdough starter and water in a large bowl until combined.
Add bread flour, salt, sugar, and yeast to the bowl; stir until a shaggy dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise until doubled, about 1-2 hours.
Punch down the dough to release air, then turn it out onto a floured surface.
Shape the dough into a rectangle, then roll tightly into a log.
Place the log seam-side down in a greased loaf pan.
Cover the pan with a cloth and let it rise until it crowns the top, about 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Remove the bread from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
Turn the bread out onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
