Chop 1 medium onion finely and add to a food processor with 250 gr ground beef, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp ground black pepper. Mix until it forms a ball.
In a pot, boil 3 cups water and add 1/2 cup rice until soft.
Add 3/4 cup chickpeas, more salt, and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
Fry the meatballs in a pan for 3-4 minutes until browned.
Add the fried meatballs to the soup mixture.
In a bowl, mix 1 1/2 cup yogurt, 2 tbsp plain flour, and 1 egg until smooth. Warm the mixture with a bit of soup before adding it to the pot.
Stir the yogurt mixture into the soup and boil on low heat until bubbling.
In the same pan used for frying meatballs, melt butter and add 1 tbsp dried mint for 10-15 seconds.
Pour the butter and mint sauce on top of the soup before serving.
