2 lbs 80/20 ground beef
1/2 onion
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 tbsp garlic
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
3 tbsp ketchup
2-3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup low or no sodium beef broth
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
smoked paprika
oregano
hot all-purpose seasoning (cayenne and jalapeno powder)
seasoned flour for frying onions
buttermilk or egg wash for frying onions

Prep the onion and bell peppers, using both red and green for color contrast.

Slice half of the onion and fry it for crispy onion strings.

Warm a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of avocado oil.

Add 2 lbs of 80/20 ground beef to the skillet and sear for 5-6 minutes.

Season the beef with all-purpose seasoning, smoked paprika, oregano, and hot all-purpose seasoning.

Add the diced onion and bell peppers to the beef and allow them to sweat down.

Stir in 1 tbsp of garlic, 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard, 3 tbsp of ketchup, 2-3 tbsp of brown sugar, and 2 tbsp of tomato paste.

Mix in 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour and 1 cup of low or no sodium beef broth.

Let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes to thicken and combine flavors.
