Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 2 teaspoons baking powder. Whisk together and set aside.
In another bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1 egg.
Add 3/4 cup milk, 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract to the egg mixture and whisk until combined.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until smooth and lump-free, resembling pancake batter.
Transfer the batter into a piping bag for easier filling of the donut pan.
Fill the donut cavities in a donut pan about 2/3 full with the batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
While the donuts are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together 2 1/2 cups icing sugar, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup melted butter, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon light corn syrup in a bowl until smooth.
Adjust the glaze consistency by adding more milk if too thick or more icing sugar if too thin.
Once the donuts are baked, let them cool completely before glazing to prevent the glaze from running off.
For the fried donuts, take pre-made dough and combine two sections together, then roll it out gently with a rolling pin.
Heat vegetable oil to 325°F (163°C) in a deep frying pan.
Cut a small hole in the center of the rolled dough to form the donut shape.
Carefully place the donut in the hot oil and fry for 60 seconds on one side, then flip and fry for another 45 seconds until golden brown.
Remove the fried donut and place it on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Once all donuts are cooked, decorate with the prepared glaze.
