Cook 3 pounds of red potatoes until fork-tender and let them cool to room temperature.

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard.

Add 1 teaspoon white vinegar, onion salt, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder to the mixture and mix well.

Chop celery, green onion, and dill pickle, and add to the bowl.

Chop 4 hard-boiled eggs and add to the mixture.

Mix everything until the potatoes are well coated.

Taste and adjust seasonings with salt, black pepper, and a light sprinkle of cayenne pepper.

Place the salad in the refrigerator to chill for preferably 3 to 6 hours or overnight before serving.
