Agave syrup is lower in calories and has a lower glycemic index.
Start by gathering your ingredients: peeled garlic cloves and good quality organic honey.
Use a clean glass jar to make the honey garlic ferment.
Add the peeled garlic cloves into the glass jar, leaving at least an inch of space at the top.
Pour organic honey over the garlic cloves until they are submerged, ensuring the honey seeps to the bottom of the jar.
Cover the jar with a lid and let it sit for one day.
The next day, turn the jar upside down and open the lid to release trapped air, a process known as burping.
Repeat the burping process daily for at least a week, then reduce to a couple of times a week after that.
After 30 days, check the fermentation; the garlic will turn dark and the honey will become thinner, resembling a syrup.
