Put sugar in a frying pan on high heat to toast.

Watch the sugar closely as it melts and darkens, turning it a nice toasted color.

Add water carefully to the toasted sugar; it may seize up.

Stir until the caramel dissolves into the water on medium-high heat.

Add a splash of vanilla flavoring to the syrup.

Brew a shot of espresso or prepare a quarter cup of super strongly brewed coffee.

In a mason jar, combine the espresso or coffee with two tablespoons of the toasted vanilla syrup.

Swirl and shake the mixture until it becomes foamy.

Pour the foamy mixture into a cup and top with Silk cashew milk or oat milk.
