1

In a large bowl, add 3 and 3/4 cups of bread flour.

2

Add 2 and 1/4 teaspoons of instant yeast and 1 and 3/4 teaspoons of kosher salt to the flour and stir to combine.

3

Pour in 1 and 1/2 cups of warm water while mixing until the dough is sticky and there are no lumps of flour.

4

Cover the bowl and let it rise in a warm place for 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours, or refrigerate for up to 24 hours to develop flavor.

5

Preheat the oven to 450°F and place a Dutch oven inside for at least 30 minutes to heat up.

6

Once the dough has risen, flour your hands and stretch and fold the dough in the bowl 8 to 10 times until it holds shape.

7

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured countertop and shape it into a round loaf.

8

Place the shaped loaf onto a piece of parchment paper, sprinkle lightly with flour, and cover loosely with a tea towel or plastic wrap for 10 minutes to rest.

9

After resting, uncover the dough and score the top with a sharp knife about 1/4 inch deep.

10

Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven from the oven and use the parchment paper to transfer the dough into it.

11

Cover the Dutch oven and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

12

Once baked, remove the bread from the Dutch oven and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
