Mix 4 oz of cream cheese with half a can of sweetened condensed milk until creamy using a hand mixer.
Prepare 2 cups of very cold whole milk and add 1 box of instant vanilla pudding.
Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and beat for about 2 minutes until firm.
Combine the pudding mixture with the cream cheese mixture and mix gently until well incorporated.
Fold in 12 oz of Cool Whip, reserving 2 cups for later.
Chill the creamy mixture in the fridge for several minutes.
Slice 4-5 bananas into pieces, not too thin or thick.
In a trifle dish (5.5 in by 7 in), add a layer of the creamy mixture at the bottom.
Layer 1.5 boxes of vanilla wafers on top of the creamy mixture.
Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the wafers.
Repeat the layers of creamy mixture, wafers, and bananas until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of Cool Whip on top.
Sprinkle reserved vanilla wafer crumbs and additional banana slices on top.
Cover with clear wrap and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to 3 hours before serving.
