1.5 pounds flank steak
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Slice 1.5 pounds of flank steak thinner or use beef stew meat.

Place the sliced steak in a Ziploc bag with 1/4 cup cornstarch and coat the meat well.

Add the coated steak to a crock pot.

Chop a small onion and add 1/4 cup to the crock pot.

Add 3 cloves of minced garlic to the crock pot.

Pour in 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 1/2 cup of soy sauce, 1/2 cup of beef broth, and 3/4 cup of brown sugar into the crock pot.

Add 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes to the mixture.

Mix all the ingredients in the crock pot together.

Cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours; the creator chooses to cook on low.

Prepare rice in a rice cooker while the beef cooks.

Microwave frozen broccoli florets in their steam pouch and add to the beef mixture after cooking.
