Add 3 cups of all-purpose flour to a bowl.

Add 1/2 cup of cornmeal, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, a pinch of cinnamon powder, and 1/4 cup of sugar to the bowl.

Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence to 1 cup of water and mix together.

Add the water mixture to the dry ingredients and knead until a sticky dough forms.

Cover the dough and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.

After 45 minutes, dust hands with flour and shape the dough into oblong dumplings.

Heat cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Fry the dumplings for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown.

Remove the dumplings and drain on grease paper or napkin.
