In a bowl, combine 5 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

Mix all the dry ingredients together.

Gradually add less than 2 cups of water to the flour mixture while kneading.

Knead the dough for about 3-4 minutes until smooth.

Cover the dough with a damp napkin and let it rest for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, uncover the dough and knead it again for about 3-4 minutes.

Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into oval shapes.

Heat a thick pot with oil for frying.

Fry the dumplings, turning them over when one side is golden brown.

Continue frying until both sides are golden brown, flipping as necessary.

Remove the dumplings from the oil and drain on paper towels.
